Regulatory Compliance & MiCA Officer (m/f/d)

As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you'll join one of our clients through Meyer Talent Acquisition and play a key role in shaping the compliance framework of an innovative European fintech operating in a highly regulated environment. You'll take ownership of regulatory compliance across key European frameworks, helping to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical policies, processes, and controls. Working closely with Risk, Legal, and senior leadership, you'll contribute to building a robust compliance function that supports business growth while ensuring the highest standards of governance, transparency, and consumer protection. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional who enjoys combining regulatory expertise with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.

Your Responsibilities

• Regulatory and MiCA compliance monitoring (Title IV EMT requirements)
• Regulatory change management and horizon scanning, including coordination of staff training on regulatory developments
• Whitepaper compliance and consumer protection requirements
• Coordination of regulatory reporting obligations across MiCA, DORA, and Wft
• Maintenance of the Normative Framework (policies, procedures, and work instructions)
• Interface with external legal advisors on legal risk matters
• Support for license applications, amendments, and regulatory dialogue, including management of regulatory exams
• Oversight of regulatory MiCA reporting, compliance incident monitoring, and the Normative Framework

Required Qualifications

What you bring

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or legal within financial services or fintech
• Strong working knowledge of MiCA (especially Title III and IV), DORA, and Wft
• Experience in managing normative/policy frameworks in a regulated environment
• Familiarity with EBA and ESMA technical standards and guidelines relevant to EMT issuers
• Excellent legal drafting and policy writing skills in English
• University degree in law, regulatory affairs, or a related field
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to track multiple regulatory workstreams simultaneously
• Fluent in English; reading knowledge of Dutch regulatory texts is a plus

• Regulatory Knowledge - You have strong knowledge of MiCAR, DORA, and Wft, stay current on EBA and ESMA technical standards, and proactively scan for regulatory change.
• Policy Development - You design and maintain clear, practical compliance policies and a structured Normative Framework aligned with regulatory and operational requirements.
• Advisory Skills - You provide clear, actionable regulatory guidance that enables teams to implement compliance effectively, including delivering staff training.
• Data Privacy Compliance - You ensure GDPR compliance and protect customer data through robust privacy controls.
